The history of Port Salerno is intertwined with
commercial fishing that is still taking place
from the docks in historic Port Salerno.
Every year
families would gather together for a community
fish fry down by the waterfront. In 2006, a
small group gathered to explore the possibility
taking the yearly fish fry to the next level and
bring positive awareness to a community in the
midst of redevelopment.

The resulting First Annual Port
Salerno Seafood Festival was an astounding success.
Supporters, volunteers, the neighboring residents
and the weather, all joined together to create an
event never before experienced in Port Salerno.
